Biography

Dr. Ntansah is a Rutgers Presidential Post Doc Associate, working under Dr. Kym Sterling. She is a seasoned health communication specialist who has developed and implemented federal and state-level communication campaigns aimed at reducing health disparities among minority communities. Her expertise lies in crafting strategies that resonate with underserved communities, particularly Black and African American populations, to promote health equity. She completed her PhD in Health Promotion, Education and Behavior at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina. Her dissertation used discrete choice experiments to determine effective strategies for communicating a reduced nicotine policy to people who use cigar products. Charity is interested in exploring how to leverage communication to correct misperceptions and counter disinformation concerning flavored tobacco products and cigars. A fun fact about her is that she took swimming lessons in the South Pacific Ocean during a work trip to American Samoa.
