Biography

Dr. Pacek is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johson Medical School. She was trained as a substance use and mental health epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Duke University School of Medicine. Prior to coming to Rutgers, Lauren served as an Assistant Professor at Duke University School of Medicine and an Epidemiologist at the FDA Center for Tobacco Products. Her research interests include tobacco regulatory science, dual/polytobacco use, smoking cessation intervention development for people with HIV, and tobacco use among vulnerable populations.
